PETER
RABBIT
adapted
and directed
by paula jo peterson
Celebrating
Peter’s 105th birthday, this Classic Children’s
tale is performed by both actors and little audience members
alike. The actors
play the roles of Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter, the author
of the series of tiny books of which Peter Rabbit is 1 of 23.
Unsuspecting adults play Farmer McGregor and the berry
bush and the anxious-to-volunteer children in the audience not
only play Mrs. Rabbit and Peter’s good little brothers and
sister, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail, but they will also grace
the stage as cabbage heads, french beans, radishes, wheel
barrows, mice, cats, goldfish, colorful sparrows and garden
gates! Although
the central story is the same as the one we grew up with, this
tale gleefully changes with every performance as new cast
members join in the fun and excitement of telling Beatrix
Potter’s enduring tale of being good and “minding your
mother.”

They’ve
gone to The Rodeo, to Fiesta and had a Thanksgiving show, now
Mama, Papa and Baby Bear get to go on vacation in playwright
Steven Stoli’s fourth Bear adventure – The Three Bears go to
The Beach… Port Aransas to be
exact. This show not only provides a fun-filled seaside adventure,
complete with star gazing, seagulls, sand castle making and picnic
taking, but we learn all about the importance of beach safety for
kids. There is surfing, fishing, dancing and swimming fun in this cute and cuddly show about the Bear Family’s trip to the beach.
Jack Riccardi lends his famous radio voice as the announcer of all the fun festivities that both the bears and the children on the audience take part in. By the end of this exciting show, even the toddlers have
learned the basic rules for summer safety at the beach!
Kids
of all ages will enjoy this fast-paced story about the bear
family’s summer vacation. The children and adults can even try
out at the dance contest!
