Prairie Dog, known for stealing goodies, and now he wants to
get his paws on some of the love in Mama's extra-special,
filled-with-love, Texas-shaped cookies. Little Red learns some

GOLDILOCKS
and THE
THREE BEARS
October
7 – 28, 2007
adapted
by michele moad-hageman and paula jo peterson
directed by paula jo peterson
Three
bears, three chairs, three beds, three bowls, in a house in
the woods.
This
kid-friendly version of everyone’s favorite children’s
tale, The Three Bears, takes the audience of all ages on a
wonderful, frolicking adventure into the silly lives of Papa,
Mama and Baby Bear as they go about their average day as a
caring and nurturing family.
Papa bear is a boastful, yet innocent and completely
hilarious mixture of Homer Simpson and Fred Munster.
Baby Bear tends to be too impatient and too boisterous,
yet capable for great affection and Mama Bear keeps everyone
in line with her steady and lovingly stern Mama-ways.
That is, until, Goldilocks arrives on the scene and
turns the Bear Family’s home upside down like a WWF wrestler
in a Holly-Hobby Dress and patent leather shoes.
All ends well when the patient Bear family teach their
new friend the importance of asking permission and saying, “please.”
a little red hen’s Thanksgiving
NOVEMBER
7- 20
adapted by michele moad-hageman and paula jo peterson
directed
by paula jo peterson
Celebrate a very
Happy Thanksgiving with the funny, animated inhabitants of the
Barnyard in this whimsical tale of learning to love and
appreciate the gifts others share. The
Little Red Hen is planning a great feast at her home and the
main dish is a big, golden-brown and piping-hot loaf of
homemade bread. But
she must plant the seed of wheat first and water it and grow
it and pick the wheat and thrash it into flour and bake the
flour into bread. She’s
looking for help from her barnyard companions, Dan the Dog,
Tammy the Cat and Mrs. Lucky Duck and her ducklings.
Unfortunately, the only help they want to give the
Little Red Hen is to eat the bread when it pops out of the
oven. Forgiveness
plays a big part in getting along as friends and family in
this heart-warmin’, boot-stompin’, bread-eatin’
good-time at the ol’ Barnyard.
SANTA'S
HOLIDAY SURPRISE

written
and directed by paula jo peterson
This original
Holiday treat will enchant and delight as the children in the
audience help Dolly and Santa save Christmas when the elves
get stranded in Hawaii on vacation and can’t get back to the
North Pole. Bosko
the Backyard pup keeps us in stitches as he repeatedly appears
in parts of Santa’s prized Red suit.
Santa warns him not to take any more things that do not
belong to him, and when Bosko appears with yet another part of
Santa’s missing Red Suit, Santa has no choice but to keep
Bosko off the sleigh this year.
Everyone is so sad for Bosko until we discover that
Bosko hasn’t been taking these missing things, Bosko has
been finding them! Bosko
saves the day and helps guide the sleigh for Santa!
Santa will sit on his throne for pictures and after
spending an hour getting to know Santa during the show, the
children are both happy and unafraid to sit upon his knee and
tell him their Holiday wishes in exchange for a free candy
cane and a picture to save.
And it sure beats the long lines at the Mall.

PETER
RABBIT
-
March
5 - April 12, 2008
adapted
and directed by paula jo peterson
Celebrating
Peter’s 105th birthday, this Classic Children’s
tale is performed by both actors and little audience members
alike. The actors
play the roles of Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter, the author
of the series of tiny books of which Peter Rabbit is 1 of 23.
Unsuspecting adults play Farmer McGregor and the berry
bush and the anxious-to-volunteer children in the audience not
only play Mrs. Rabbit and Peter’s good little brothers and
sister, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail, but they will also grace
the stage as cabbage heads, french beans, radishes, wheel
barrows, mice, cats, goldfish, colorful sparrows and garden
gates! Although
the central story is the same as the one we grew up with, this
tale gleefully changes with every performance as new cast
members join in the fun and excitement of telling Beatrix
Potter’s enduring tale of being good and “minding your
mother.”

a kid friendly
fIEsta version
adapted
and directed by paula jo peterson
This kid-friendly version is filled with San Antonio Fiesta
fun! Beauty is
the daughter of Beautiful, the Queen of Fiesta in San Antonio.
When Beautiful falls ill to a sleeping sickness, Beauty must
venture into the mysterious palace of the fabled Fiesta Beast
to find the Grand San Antonio Cascarone that she needs to free
her mother, the Fiesta Queen, from her slumber in time for
Fiesta!
The Beast is actually a big floppy dog.
No one knows that he is really a Fiesta Prince, and
that he was turned into a big floppy dog to learn his lesson
when he would not share his Grand San Antonio Cascarones with
anyone. If he
wouldn’t share than he would learn the hard way about how it
feels when others won’t share their love and friendship with
him. The only way
to break the spell is to share his prized possession with
someone in need and to have that special someone tell him that
he was loved.
The best part of this show is that all the characters,
including Beauty and her mother Beautiful are played by the
children and parents in the audience!
They play flowers, woodland animals, Mexican Hat
dancers, firemen and cheerleaders.
They sing songs and act out scenes about primary
colors, letters and numbers.
They explore feelings of sadness and joy, love and
friendship in this happy little story of sharing and
acceptance in this lovely tale of Beauty and the Fiesta Beast!
