Student actors will learn the basic of theatre focusing on, stage directions, expressing their emotions, learning through theatre games, building confidence and self-esteem. This class will help control stage fright and teach young actors how to focus and speak loud and clear in front of an audience.

Learn exciting skills and what it takes to be a teen in the
acting world. We cover the basics of theatre, stage directions, and
conquering stage fright. We work on audition
skills, memorization and diction techniques. And, we design our costumes, create our make-up and perform a short
play.

Whether you like to sing on stage or in the shower, improve your singing voice with private lessons. Students learn the exercises and concepts to help accomplish healthy and strong vocal habits.
Group Voice Lessons - Ages 7-14 Learn proper vocalization and breathing techniques, harmonizing, sight-singing, ear-training, and the development of range, pitch, and power, in a comfortable, group setting.

To take this class you have to take at least one year of basic teen acting and also audition. If you have taken classes somewhere else a one- minute monologue and audition is needed to be enrolled. We focus on scene and character study. We also cover sensory recall and substitution and go in depth on emotions. We use Uta Hagen's perspective on acting. At the end of class we perform a play or monologues.

For beginners, learn about notes, rhythms and playing simple songs. For the more experienced musician, increase your agility and technique with weekly private lessons.

Ages 18 - 98 - Learn what the actors use to relax in front of
others; break the barriers of your auto-response life; have fun being in your own skin; understand the basics of acting and regain
the sensory you had as a kid. It can also increased focus and awareness. Even if you don't become an actor,
the benefits are enormous.

On Stage is a non-competitive, performance-focused troupe at The Steven Stoli Playhouse. It is made up of young members of the San Antonio community ages 9-16, who perform song and dance revues at local nursing, retirement homes, community events and the stage of The
Playhouse.
The goal of On Stage is to provide the performers with quality training in musical theater, dance and voice, as well as teaching the importance of teamwork, dedication, responsibility and giving back to the community. Additional emphasis is given to self-awareness, confidence, and encouragement of peers.
