TEEN SCENE ONE-ACT WORKSHOP

Summer Acting Camp geared for Teenagers age 13-17. The camp will cover character work, stage presence, improv and audition skills, script analysis, and perform a One-Act Showcase at the end of camp. The actors will need a one-minute monologue to perform on the first day of camp. Camp includes, a pizza party, daily snacks, a camp T-shirt and a fun filled learning experience.

Dates: July 21 - 25     9 am to 4 pm        Cost: $299
Limited to 16 students per sessions Pre-registration is required

Taught by: Jessie Rose
After graduating in 1999 Jessie was accepted at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), in New York City.  While there she studied under Dr. Roxanne Stuart and received certification in stage combat.  After graduation she realized there was no place like home.  Jessie taught a duet acting class for 5th graders and coached her class to U.I.L. competition.  They made it to regional.  Since being here at the Playhouse Jessie performed in The Three Bears Thanksgiving, Santa’s Holiday Surprise, Home for the Holidays 2004-07, Sleeping Beauty, The Three Bears go to the Beach as Baby Bear, Honky Tonk Laundry and Nunsense Country Jamboree.  Jessie also is the Director of our Acting Studio at The Playhouse.

Film and Commercial Acting Camp 
Monday - Friday
June 16-20  &  July 14 - 18, 2008

An opportunity for kids and teens to experience
what it is takes to be a film and television actor. 

A weeklong acting camp for kids covers techniques for acting on camera in Television and Film. Also teaches voice-over work. The main instructor is Steven Stoli who has over 450 credits as an actor, director, writer and producer. Also instructing in the camp are Paula Jo Peterson and Jessie Rose. Students will learn
 a scene from a television show or from a movie; they get to film a television commercial on DVD and work on voice-overs.  Final day includes The Showcase. 
PLUS... a camp T-shirt, a Cast Pizza Party, daily snacks 
and a fun filled learning experience.

CAMP HOLLYWOOD - Jr. AGES: 6 - 8
A week-long half day camp for young kids covers techniques for acting on camera in Television and Film. Taught by Steven Stoli and Jesse Rose

CAMP SING-ALONG 
Ages: 3-7

Young voices have a chance to sing, dance, and learn at the same time as Camp Sing-A-Long explores a fun and different theme each day! We will learn songs about Food, Animals, Weather and Colors & Numbers along with creating a simple and fun craft. Parents are invited to observe class on the final day of camp where students will perform four entertaining songs. Includes Showcase, a camp T-shirt and a fun filled learning experience. 

   Camp I:  June 16 - 20    Camp II: July 14-18
